Experience on the Bench and Before It

Proven judgment, earned in the courtroom

Throughout his career, Marc has earned some of the most respected positions in the Illinois judicial system — the kind of experience a circuit judge relies on every day.
01
Law Clerk — Illinois Appellate and Supreme Court
Served as a law clerk for both the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court — working at the heart of how the law is interpreted and applied.
02
Prosecutor — St. Clair and Madison Counties
Worked as a prosecutor in both St. Clair and Madison Counties, upholding the law in the communities he now seeks to serve from the bench.
03
25+ Years Representing Injured Workers
For more than two decades, Marc represented injured workers across the country — litigating and trying cases before juries and administrative tribunals alike.
04
Workers’ Compensation Commissioner
For the past 7½ years, Marc has served as a Workers’ Compensation Commissioner — one of only nine in Illinois — weighing evidence, applying the law fairly, and making difficult decisions every day.
Beyond the Courtroom

Four decades of calling it fair

Marc has spent decades serving his community off the clock — volunteering as a basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball coach, including as a Collinsville High School boys basketball assistant coach.

He has also been a boys basketball referee for more than 45 years — the same instinct for impartiality and calling it straight that he would bring to the bench.
